ThermoReserve AB has been officially registered in Sweden as a dedicated technology and product company focused on modular thermal energy storage. The registration creates a clear commercial home for developing, testing, delivering and supporting complete thermal-storage products.
The Swedish Companies Registration Office, Bolagsverket, registered ThermoReserve AB on 25 August 2026. The company was formed to translate thermal-storage engineering into configurable products for real building and industrial applications.
The registration is an organisational milestone, but the purpose is practical: to establish clear responsibility for the physical thermal-storage product, from requirements and product engineering through testing, installation, monitoring and lifecycle support.
Why ThermoReserve was established
Thermal energy storage can help separate when energy is available from when useful heat or cooling is needed. Turning that principle into an operating product requires more than selecting a storage medium. Temperature, usable capacity, charge and discharge power, duration, thermal losses, heat-transfer equipment, controls and site conditions must work together.
ThermoReserve provides a dedicated product-company structure for that work. Its initial development emphasis is modular high-temperature thermal storage, while the company scope also allows future products for other temperature ranges and thermal-storage applications.
What the company will develop and deliver
Modular storage products
Configurable thermal-storage units combining storage media, containment, insulation and a serviceable enclosure.
Charging and thermal delivery
Charging equipment, heat exchangers, flow paths and interfaces designed around the required thermal duty.
Control and monitoring
Sensing, local control, safety functions and performance monitoring for the thermal-storage product.
Support and lifecycle services
Application assessment, installation support, commissioning, service and licensing pathways as the product portfolio develops.
Building on Greenco Tech’s thermal R&D
ThermoReserve builds on thermal-energy research and prototype development initiated within Greenco Tech AB. The new company creates a clearer product and commercial pathway for modular thermal storage, while Greenco Tech continues its broader research and technology-development role.
This separation helps customers and partners understand where responsibility sits: ThermoReserve focuses on the thermal-storage product, its application engineering and its path toward repeatable delivery.
From registration to measured operation
The immediate work is focused on product testing, application-specific engineering and reference validation. Progress will be reported carefully, with a clear distinction between stand-alone testing, site connection, commissioning and measured integrated operation.
- Continue stand-alone product testing, verifying thermal behaviour, controls, safety and operating boundaries.
- Prepare the first reference integration, adapting the thermal-storage product to the host building and its technical interfaces.
- Connect and commission the Varis pilot, with building connection planned by the end of October 2026.
- Measure performance in operation, establishing evidence for improvement, replication and future commercial configurations.
