ThermoReserve thermal storage platform

A modular thermal reserve, engineered from core to connection

ThermoReserve develops the complete thermal-storage product architecture, from the storage core and containment to charging, heat transfer, sensing, control and site interfaces.

The platform begins with high-temperature thermal storage and is designed around a simple principle: the product configuration follows the application.

Product architecture

Six layers working as one thermal-storage product

Useful thermal storage depends on more than the storage medium. The complete product must manage charging, containment, heat delivery, monitoring, safety and connection to the site.

Layer 01

Storage medium & core

The thermal core retains energy within the selected temperature and operating range.

  • Application-led media selection
  • Capacity and temperature configuration
  • Internal thermal distribution
Layer 02

Thermal containment

Structural and insulation layers retain useful heat while protecting the surrounding environment.

  • Heat-loss management
  • Surface-temperature control
  • Mechanical and thermal durability
Layer 03

Charging subsystem

The charging path transfers available energy into the thermal reserve under controlled conditions.

  • Electrical charging pathways
  • Recovered-heat interfaces
  • Power and temperature limits
Layer 04

Heat transfer & delivery

The discharge path turns stored energy into useful heat at the conditions required by the load.

  • Air-side or liquid-side transfer
  • Application-specific interfaces
  • Controlled thermal output
Layer 05

Sensing, control & safety

Instrumentation and operating logic keep the product within defined limits and provide usable data.

  • Temperature and system monitoring
  • Operating modes and interlocks
  • Performance-data collection
Layer 06

Enclosure & site interfaces

The physical product supports transport, installation, service and repeatable connection to real sites.

  • Modular product enclosure
  • Mechanical and service access
  • Electrical, thermal and data interfaces

Operating logic

Store when energy is available. Deliver when heat is needed.

ThermoReserve creates a controlled thermal reserve between the timing of the energy source and the timing of the thermal demand.

Modular configuration

Common architecture, configured around the thermal duty

Modular does not mean one standard box for every site. Buildings, industrial processes and local energy systems differ in temperature, power, operating cycle, available space and heat-transfer requirements.

ThermoReserve uses a common product architecture while configuring the storage module and interfaces around the application.

Product pathways

High-temperature first, with a wider thermal architecture

ThermoReserve is initially focused on high-temperature thermal storage. Future product pathways may extend the architecture to other temperature ranges and storage media as technical and market evidence develops.

Initial product focus

High-temperature thermal storage

The initial platform pathway focuses on storing heat at elevated temperature and delivering it later through a controlled heat-transfer interface.

  • Predominantly sensible-heat storage
  • Electricity-to-heat charging
  • Building and industrial thermal duties
  • Modular capacity and power configuration
Future development

Additional thermal-storage pathways

The same application-led architecture may later support other storage media, temperature ranges and thermal duties.

  • Lower-temperature sensible storage
  • Phase-change-material configurations
  • Cooling and cold-storage concepts
  • Alternative thermal interfaces

Product control layer

Control and monitoring stay focused on the thermal-storage product

ThermoReserve manages the safe and measurable operation of the storage product itself, while remaining open to wider site-level control systems.

01

Protect

Monitor critical temperatures and conditions with limits, alarms and interlocks appropriate to the product configuration.

02

Operate

Coordinate charge, hold, standby and discharge modes within the thermal-storage system.

03

Monitor

Track thermal state, sensor data and operating behaviour to support reliable operation and maintenance.

04

Validate

Record charging, retention and useful-output data to support measured performance and product improvement.

Clear system boundary: ThermoReserve controls and monitors the thermal-storage product. Where wider site optimisation is required, the product can exchange appropriate signals with an external BMS, EMS or energy platform.
